MD-5 Long Range Planning PCC Marvin Chambers

Lion Marvin joined Lions in 1971.  He has held the position of Club President [3 times], Club Secretary, Den Leader and committee Chair of many projects. On Cabinet of District 5CE Lion Marvin has been chairperson of the following committees; Environment, Zone, Region, Visitation and Membership.  He served as District Governor 2005-2006.  Lion Marvin was Council Chairperson 2006-2007 for MD5 and the Chairperson of the MD5 Long Range Planning for 2007-2008. Lion Marvin has received an award for being 100% President and Secretary.  He is also a Certified Guiding Lion.  Lion Marvin has received the Judge Brian Stevenson Fellowship award, Life Member of the Saskatchewan Eye Bank, Life Member of the Lions Foundation of Canada, has received two International Presidents Certificates, the Presidential Medal and is a Melvin Jones Fellow.  Lion Marvin and Lynne have attended many District 5CE Conventions, MD5 Conventions and two USA/Canada Forums.  In 2005 they attended the 88th International Lions Convention in Hong Kong. Lion Marvin is also very active in his community.  Serving on Village Council for 3 years and at present is the Mayor of the Village of Fillmore.  He has served on Church Council, Recreation Centre Board and the Hall Board. Lion Marvin and Lynne have a combined family of five.  They have three daughters and 2 sons.  They are also the proud grandparents of two granddaughters and three grandsons.
