BRUCE SCHWARTZ  (2002-2004) of Bismarck, North Dakota, USA, was elected to serve a two-year term as a director of The International Association of Lions Clubs at the association's 85th International Convention, held in Osaka, Japan, July 8-12, 2002.

Past Director Schwartz is an insurance sales professional. A Lion since 1962.

Past Director Schwartz and his wife, Julie, also a Lion, havd two children and four grandchildren.

LLOYD H. HANSEN (1997-1999) of Brookings, South Dakota, USA, was elected to serve a two-year term as a director of The International Association of Lions Clubs at the association's 80th International Convention, held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, June 30-July 5, 1997. Past Director Hansen is a retired educator. A member of the Brookings Lions Club since 1966. Past Director Hansen and his wife, Roberta, also a Melvin Jones Fellow, have four children and five grandchildren.

GARNET E. DAVIS (1991-1993, MERL/GMT Coordinator)  of Melfort, Saskatchewan, Canada, was elected to serve a two-year term as a director of The International Association of Lions Clubs at the association's 74th International Convention, held in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, June 18-21, 1991.

Past Director Davis is a teacher. A member of the Melfort Lions Club since 1973.

Past Director Davis and his wife, Mary Ellen, have one daughter.

ROBERT J. DRABEK of Winner, South Dakota, USA, was elected to serve a two-year term as a director of The International Association of Lions Clubs at the association's 68th annual convention held in Dallas, Texas, USA, June 1985.

Past Director Drabek and his wife, Bev, also a Melvin Jones Fellow, have three children.




WILLIAM F. GACKLE of Kulm, North Dakota, U.S.A., served a two-year term as a director of The International Association of Lions Clubs after his election at the association's 64th annual convention held in Phoenix, Arizona, USA, June 17-20, 1981.

Past Director Gackle and his wife, Marilyn, have four children.


Al Schock was District Governor 1956-57, Joined Lions in 1949 and is a member of the Sioux Falls Downtown Lions.  Al served as International Director about 1958-1960 and wass elected in Toronto, Canada.

He is married to Phyllis and they live in Sioux Falls, SD.  They have 5 children, 10 Grand Children and 9 Great-Grandchildren.
